Ship interior materials include structural materials, insulating materials, decorative materials and furniture materials. With the development of my country's shipbuilding industry, ship interior materials have also undergone a development process from simple to complex, from low-level to high-level, and from non-standard to standardized.
1. Structural materials
The application and development of structural materials can be divided into the wood structure period, the plastic surface material structure period, the calcium silicate board structure period and the rock wool board structure period.
2. Insulation material
Insulating materials for ships shall have fire-proof, heat-insulating and sound-proofing properties. For example, the report room and radar room require sound insulation, the cold storage requires heat insulation, and the oil tank and engine room require fire protection, all of which require insulating materials.
3. Decoration materials
Decoration materials include textile materials, wood, plastic, metal, etc. Among them, textile materials include curtains, curtains, bed curtains, bedspreads, sofas, and chair covers. Plastics include layering strips, connecting strips, floor blocks, handrails, stair anti-slip strips and carpet points, and metal products include all kinds of hardware. However, non-combustibility or low-spreading flammability is required for textiles. Generally, chemical fiber fabrics are used, and flame retardants are added during manufacturing to meet marine requirements.
4. Furniture materials
The marine furniture materials include plastic board wood furniture, steel furniture, calcium silicate board furniture, and composite rock board furniture.
